born pretty store - mirror nail polish

tak wiem. na temat tego lakieru w internetach już było bardzo dużo, ale mam go, to i ja dodam swoje trzy grosze ;)
a o co tyle hałasu? chodzi o lakier z efektem lustra (klik) od born pretty store, o którym pewnie wiele z Was już słyszało. zacznę od tego, że jak go wybierałam do recenzowania to jeszcze nie było w sieci żadnych jego zdjęć poza tymi na stronie bps. no ale skuszona zapragnęłam mieć to cudo. i co mogę o nim powiedzieć? przede wszystkim, że to wcale nie jest lakier, tylko coś jak farba w sprayu. a raczej to jest dokładnie to samo co farba w sprayu. i trochę mnie dziwi, że nikt tego wcześniej nie zauważył :p rzadki, wodnisty, srebrny płyn i nawet kuleczka w środku zachowuje się identycznie jak w puszce z farbą. w każdym razie jeśli ma dawać lustrzany efekt to zupełnie mi to nie przeszkadza ;)
w zestawie dostajemy dwie butelki: bazę i lustrzany "lakier". pomalowałam paznokcie bazą i schło to wieki, więc zmyłam i normalnie pomalowałam paznokcie odżywką i dopiero na to dałam bazę i taka mieszanka wyschła znacznie szybciej. no i pozostało lusterko. o ile baza jest dość treściwa i wygodnie się ją nakłada, to z samym lakierem miałam trochę problemów. maluje się wygodnie, bo lusterko bardzo szybko wysycha, właściwie od razu. tylko niech Wam wpłynie trochę tego pod skórki... a to jest tak rzadkie, że dostaje się we wszystkie zakamarki. trzeba więc naprawdę ostrożnie malować przy skórkach.
kolejny mały problem to maleńkie spękania lakieru na końcach, które pojawiły się na niektórych paznokciach po pomalowaniu, ale mam wrażenie że w jakiś sposób zawiniła tutaj odżywka pod bazą. bo u żadnej z dziewczyn nie widziałam czegoś takiego.

a sam efekt lustra? jest szał. paznokcie naprawdę odbijają wszystko jak lusterko. szkoda tylko, że srebrna powierzchnia dosyć szybko się ściera, tak, że po całym dniu starły mi się wszystkie paznokcie. jednak jest to doskonała opcja na imprezę lub jednodniowe szaleństwo ;) choć przyznam, że cena tego wynalazku jest dosyć wysoka (17,90 $, choć obecnie jest przeceniony na 9,99$). jednak od czego są punkty na bps lub mój 10% kod zniżkowy APBQ10 ;)

co ważne, a każdego kusi, by przedłużyć żywotność lusterka na paznokciach, jeśli chcecie się cieszyć lustrzanym efektem nie nakładajcie na lakier topu. zabija efekt i na paznokciach powstaje efekt chromu jak przy china glaze millenium (klik).

yes, I know that there was a lot posts about this polish lately, but I also have it, so I'm gonna say something about it as well.
and what is this all fuss about? it's mirror nail polish (click) from born pretty store and some of you may have already heard about it. first of all at the time I decided that I want to try it, there was no pictures of it anywhere (besides these on bps website, but you know how it is with "promo pics"). but I felt tempted enough to want this polish for review. and what can I say? technicaly it's not a nail polish at all. it's something like spray paint or it is a paint like this. and I'm surprised noone noticed it. it's all like this paint, watery, silver liquid, which dries instantly. even metal ball acts in this bottle like in can of paint. nontheless if my nails are going to look like little mirrors I don't mind this spray paint :p
in this mirror set we get base and the mirror "nail polish". firstly I used the base. but it was drying like ages, so I removed it and painted my nails as always - applied a nail conditioner and then base from the set. and it dried much faster. then I just had to apply mirror "polish". the base was nice to work with and its application was nice and this one? I had some problems with it. it dries really fast, like instantly after painting. but it's really a pain in the ass when it gets under cuticles. because it's so watery that it gets in every little gap and free space. so you need to be carefull painting close to cuticles.
I also noticed, that there appeared some little "cracks"on the edges of some of my nails. but I think it's conditioner's fault in some way, because I haven't seen anything like this on any blog.

and mirror effect itself? it's awesome! nails really reflecting everything like a mirror. but it's a shame this silver mirror cover rubs off so easily. that it disappears after just one day. but this polish is perfect for a party or just for one day/night fun :) although I have to say that this gadget isn't the cheapest thing (its regular price is 17,90 $, but now it's on sale and costs 9,99$), but you can always use bps points or my coupon code APBQ10 to get 10% off ;)

and one more important thing, because you may want to prolong mirror effect adding a layer of top coat. don't do that. do not apply top coat on this polish. it just kills the mirror effect and it'll turn into silver chrome, just like china glaze millenium (click).

kiko - 300 pearly malachite green

dzień dobry. w końcu przyszedł czas na lakier, który już nie jest dostępny! i nie, nie robię tego celowo. tak się po prostu zdarza :p kupuję dużo lakierów, a czasem niektóre z nich długo czekają na swoją kolej. czasem tak długo, że jak nimi maluję, to już nie da się ich nigdzie dostać. ot cała filozofia :p dodam też, że te swatche są tak stare jak świat. teraz trochę takich będzie :D

kiko pearly malachite green to kolejny morski lakier, jaki chcę Wam pokazać, choć w jego przypadku akurat chyba 'teal' to w końcu odpowiednie określenie ;) mieszanka zieleni i niebieskiego (bliższa temu drugiemu) o leciutko frostowym lub raczej metalicznym wykończeniu, a do tego skrzące się małe drobinki. czego chcieć więcej? jeszcze jak przyjemnie się maluje, szybko wysycha i kryje przy dwóch warstwach ;) no a do tego to kiko, więc uwielbiam go już z założenia!

hello. it's time for something that is not available anymore! :D no, it's not that I'm doing it on purpose. it just happens. actually like all the time :p I just buy a lot of nail polishes and some of them have to wait really long time until I use them. sometimes it's so long that they're not available anymore. so you know... and I have to tell you these swatches are as old as the hills. but there will be a bit of these soon :D

kiko pearly malachite green is another teal polish which I want to show you, but I think this time finally 'teal' is a good word here. it is a mix of green and blue (more blue leaning) with a bit frosty or rather metallic finish with shimmering micro particles. application is nice, it dries fast and it's opaque in two easy coats. and it's kiko, so I love it just from the beginning!

orly - hip and outlandish

dziś kolejny lakier orly z kolekcji melrose, jak dla mnie najbardziej problematyczny z całej pokazywanej trójki. hip and outlandish to piękny, głęboki morski krem, mniej więcej idealnie pomiędzy zielenią a niebieskim. często takie kolory ciężko uchwycić na zdjęciach, bo wychodzą zbyt jasne i zbyt niebieskie. ale starałam się jak mogłam i myślę, że zdjęcia całkiem nieźle oddają jego kolor, choć wiadomo, zależy to od ustawień monitora (u mnie na kompie wyglądają ok, ale na telefonie już nieco gorzej). w każdym razie to taki żywy, radosny morski ;)
i wszystko fajnie, tylko niestety malowanie to lekki koszmar. wiele osób pisało, że trendy to masakra w nakładaniu. otóż mi ten lakier nakładało się znacznie gorzej niż trendy. jest gęsty, ale nie jak zgluciały ciągnący się lakier. ma bardziej konsystencję nierozcieńczonej farby. przez to przy malowaniu powstają dosłownie góry i doliny. nie poziomuje się i trzeba pokryć go topem. i tak jak zawsze robiąc zdjęcia nie nakładam topu, tu po prostu musiałam to zrobić (choć na końcu i tak są 2 zdjęcia bez topu ;) ).

nie wiem o co chodzi, bo prawie wszystkie dziewczyny, które znam, pisały, że nakładanie tego lakieru to bajka. ale wspominały też o jego kremowo-żelowej konsystencji i o tym, że kryje przy 2, czasem 3 warstwach. mój egzemplarz nawet nie leżał koło żelowej konsystencji. to mocno napigmentowany krem, który kryje właściwie już przy jednej warstwie i ma w sobie jakby aż za dużo pigmentu.
muszę jeszcze powiedzieć, że na drugim ręku próbowałam go nakładać już po jakimś czasie zupełnie nie mieszając, ani nie rolując wcześniej lakieru (w pierwszym przypadku to robiłam) i wtedy było trochę lepiej. konsystencja była bardziej płynna. jednak nadal nie było to idealne nakładanie...
po rozmowie z Kamilą (która miała taki sam problem) zrobiłam mały reaserch wśród zagranicznych blogów i wiem, że nie wszystkim dobrze się malowało tym lakierem. jednak takich osób było bardzo mało. myślę, ze to kwestia jakiejś felernej partii, a następnym razem po prostu naleję do niego trochę rozcieńczalnika i powinno być dobrze ;) bo kolor jest na tyle fajny, że na pewno jeszcze kiedyś nim pomaluję.
jeśli lubicie takie kolory, to zdecydowanie polecam, bo szansa na to, że traficie na takiego niepoziomującego się glutka jest naprawdę mała ;)

today I'll show you next orly polish from melrose collection, for me the most problematic one. and hip and outlandish is a beautiful, deep teal creamy shade, somewhere just perfectly between blue and green. it's often hard to capture colors like this, because camera always sees them too light and too blue. but I tried my best and I think it looks quite good on my pics, but you know, it really depend on your monitor settings (on my computer this shade looks good, but on my mobile phone a bit worse :P). anyway, it's bright and vivid teal ;)
but applying this polish was a little nightmare. a lot of girls said that trendy was the worst one to apply from this collection. well, I had a lot more problems with this shade than with trendy. it's thick, but not in this way as old polishes are. it's more like undiluted paint. because of that, when I was applying it, I had like "mountains and valleys" on my nails :P it definitely doesn't level up and I had to apply top coat. usually I don't add top coat to polishes on my pics, to show you how they really look like. this time I just coudn't leave it like that (but anyway at the end you'll have two pics of it without top coat).
i don't know why is that, because almost all of girls that I know were writing that applying this polish is easy peasy. but they mentioned its crelly consistency (creme+jelly) and that it's opaque in 2-3 coats. my hip and outlandish polish haven't even seen a jelly consistency. it's pigmented creme, which is opaque in actually just one coat. but it kind of has too much of pigment in it, if it's even possible.
and there's one more thing I wanted to say. I tried to apply it without shaking or rolling its bottle (I did that before painting my left hand) on the right hand and it was a bit better. the consistency of was more fluid, but applying still wasn't perfect...
I talked with aalimkaa (who has the same problem) and I did a small reaserch. I found some girls who have also problems with this polish. but there was just a few of them. and I think it must have been some defective batch of these polishes, and next time I'll just add a bit of polish thinner to this polish and it should be much better ;) this shade is so great that I'm sure I'm gonna use it again some time.
if you like shades like this, I recommend this one. because I think that a chance that you'll come across one of those thick painty one is really slim ;)

orly - beautifully bizarre

dziś kolejny lakier z najnowszej kolekcji orly - melrose. ostatnio był jakiś wysyp postów o tym lakierze, więc postanowiłam chwilę odczekać ;) dużo osób pisało też o tym, że to była miłość od pierwszego wejrzenia. u mnie może nie do końca, ale polubiłam się z nim, bo jest taki słodko uroczy, ale też trochę inny niż typowy baby pink.

beautifully bizzare to bardzo jasny róż z niebieską poświatą/mikro shimmerem. często lakiery inglota mają takie wykończenie ;) stąd nie jest to dla mnie nic niezwykłego, ale bardzo ładnie wygląda to z tak jasnoróżową bazą. i co ważne nie jest to frostowy lakier (czyli to co większość osób kojarzy ze słowem perła), więc pociągnięć pędzelka właściwie w ogóle nie widać. do krycia potrzebne są dwie warstwy, chyba że ktoś nakłada bardzo cienkie, wtedy pewnie konieczne bedą trzy.

today I'm gonna show you another polish from the newest orly collection - melrose. there were some kind of boom for this polish lately on blogs, so I thought I'll wait a bit with this post. a lot of girls said that it was like love from the first sight and I have to say I didn't feel it at first. but I like this polish. it's so cute and it's not just a typical baby pink.

beautifully bizzare is a pale pink with blue glare/microshimmer. a lot of inglot nail polishes have similar finish, so it's not something bizzare ;) to me. but it looks nice with so pale pink base. and it is NOT a frost polish, so brush moves are actually not visible at all. which is good news. it's opaque in two coats, but if you apply thin coats, it would need a third one.

orly - trendy

dziś pokażę Wam jeden z lakierów z wiosennej kolekcji orly (melrose) - trendy. to jasny róż z brzoskwiniowymi tonami. to taki neopastel (niby pastelowy, ale jednocześnie wali po oczach). a do tego ma w sobie dużo białych drobinek - jakby drobniutkich flejksów, które widać w buteleczce, ale na paznokciach już nie do końca, szczególnie jak nałożymy top. a jest on raczej wskazany, bo trendy wysycha do dość dziwnego, miejscami nieco kaszkowatego, nierównego wykończenia (co widać na niektórych zdjęciach) - dużo osób twierdzi że to przez te drobinki. ja sama nie wiem, bo sama formuła lakieru jest dziwna. niby jest kredowy i momentami maluje się dobrze, to za chwilę wydaje się glutowaty i okazuje się, że mamy prześwity i trzeba dodać kolejną warstwę. przez to, żeby wszystko wyrównać do krycia potrzebne są 3 warstwy.

na koniec jeszcze powiem, że po swatchach myślałam, że to będzie dupe color club - east austin, ale to w ogóle nie ten kolor. orly wygląda na żywo tak jak na zdjęciach. cc jest pomarańczo-różem, a orly określiłabym po prostu jako róż. zresztą na dole macie porównanie ;)

today I'll show you polish from orly spring collection (melrose) - trendy. it's a bright pink shade with peach undertones. it is a neopastel (pastel, but at the same time glowing neon) with a lot of white particles - kind of fine flakies, which are visible in the bottle, but on nails not really, especially when you add top coat. and it is quite necessary, because trendy has weird kind of gritty uneven finish (which you can see on some pics). it is often said that it's because of particles, but I'm not sure. I think formula of this polish is just weird. it's chalky and sometimes applying is nice, but then it is thick and hard to work with and you can find bold patches on nails and you have to add another coat. so to smooth everything out it needs three coats.

at first, when I saw swatches of this polish, I thought it can be a dupe of color club east austin. but these are two different colors. orly in real life looks like on pics. cc is a orange-pink shade and I'd say orly is just pink. at the end you can find a comparison of them ;)

hej. dziś będzie krótko, a do tego pokażę Wam coś nowego :) nie często się zdarza, że od razu maluję nowym lakierem. często jest tak (bardzo często...), że nawet coś super zajebistego długo czeka na swoją kolejkę malowania. i naprawdę nie wiem czemu tak jest. po prostu czekam aż najdzie mnie na dany kolor :p a tu naszło mnie dość szybko :D

strutter to piękna holograficzna zieleń. drobinki holo są duże i nieregularne (jak np. w zoya dream), a baza żelkowa, przez co lepiej je widać. to zieleń, ale ma jakby delikatne morskie tony, choć ma ich zdecydowanie mniej niż na większości swatchy. takie tylko jakby delikatne morskie muśnięcie :D a tak kolor tego lakieru opisałabym jako szmaragdowy. mimo, że baza jest żelkowa, to drobinek jest tak dużo, że lakier kryje idealnie przy dwóch warstwach. bardzo szybko wysycha, a po wyschnięciu o dziwo jest gładki. gdyby nie cena (13$), chciałabym chyba wszystkie lakiery z tej kolekcji...

hello. it's gonna be a quick post today and I'm gonna show you some brand new stuff. very often I don't use new polishes, like just after buying them. and it's common that even if something is super awesome it have to wait a looong time until I use it. and I really don't know why is that. I'm just waiting for... wanting to have some nail polish on my nails. to feel it :P if you know what I mean. and this time I felt it very quickly.
strutter is a gorgeous holographic green. holo particles are large and irregular (like in zoya dream) and the base is jelly, so the particles are perfectly visible. strutter is green, but it has slightly teal undertones, but definitelly much LESS than you can see on most of swatches of this polish. it's like just a delicate touch of teal :P anyway, I'd say it's emerald green. despite the fact that the base has jelly finish, there are so many holo particles there that this polish is fully opaque in two easy coats. it dries fast and the surface is surprisingly smooth after drying. if not for the price, i'd buy all the polishes from this collection...
