i po krótkiej przerwie chcę Wam pokazać ostatni już lakier z zimowej kolekcji orly deep wonder, czyli piękną ciemną zieleń o nazwie retrograde. retrograde to lakier o wykończeniu glassfleck (choć wiele osób określa go jako metaliczny) z mnóstwem mieniących się i połyskujących multichromowych (lub duochromowych) drobinek. choć lakier retrograde zmienia się w zależności od kąta patrzenia, na paznokciach głównie widzimy ciemną zieleń z morskimi tonami. jedynie pod dużym kątem lub w słabym oświetleniu na paznokciach pojawia się też nieco granatu i fioletu (co zobaczycie na dalszych zdjęciach).

technicznie nie mam żadnych zarzutów. lakiery orly są po prostu świetne jakościowo i potwierdza to każda kolejna odkręcona przeze mnie buteleczka. lakier nakłada się bardzo wygodnie, do pełnego krycia wystarcza już jedna warstwa (choć ja i tak nałożyłam dwie), szybko wysycha i pięknie błyszczy. na zdjęciach nie mam na paznokciach topu, żeby pokazać Wam jak lakier wygląda solo.

so after some short break I'd like to show you one last polish from winter orly deep wonder collection - beautiful dark green shade called retrograde. retrograde has glassfleck finish (though many people call it metallic) with lots of shimmering and twinkling multichrome (or rather duochrome?) particles. color of this polish shifts depending on angle we look at it, but mostly we can see green with teal undertones. only when looking at large angle and in pure lightning, we can see on our nails some navy blue and purple (which you can see on below pics).

technically it's also perfect. orly polishes have always great quality and every orly bottle I open, proves it. applying this polish is really nice, it needs only one coat to be fully opaque (I applied two anyway) and dries fast to nice glossy finish. I don't apply topcat for pictures to show you how polish looks on its own.

po chwilowej przerwie przychodzę do Was z kolejnym lakierem z zimowej kolekcji orly deep wonder. tym razem jest to niebiesko-fioletowy glassfleck o nazwie nebula. jak już wspominałam, wiele osób określa ten lakier (podobnie jak dwa inne z tej kolekcji - lucid dream i retrograde) jako metaliczny, jednak moim zdaniem to typowy lakier glassfleckowy. w ciemnej bazie o kolorze blurple znajdziemy mnóstwo większych skrzących drobinek o nieregularnych kształtach, które jednak na paznokciach tworzą gładką taflę - nie odstają i nie haczą jak brokat. w ogóle muszę przyznać, że lakier nebula jest bardzo ciekawy i niepowtarzalny :) prawdziwy unikat i jeśli lubicie błyskotki, to warto go mieć :) a do tego super kryje już przy jednej warstwie, chociaż wiadomo, że druga zawsze pogłębi kolor i w moim przypadku da jakieś wymagiinowane poczucie "pełności" manicure'u ;)

after short break I'd like to show you next orly polish from their winter collection deep wonder. it's blue-purple (called brurple) glassfleck polish called nebula. as I mentioned before, many people say this polish (as well as two others from this collection - lucid dream and retrograde) has metallic finish, but for me it's 100% glassfeck. in dark blurple base we have loads of larger shimmering particles irregular in shape. but as in glassflecks, these particles don't behave like glitter - polish dries to smooth finish. and I have to admit nebula is a really interesting and unique polish :) if you like all that glitters, you should have it :) and it has also great qulity - it's fully opaque in even one coat, although two coats give it more depth and  - in my case - I have this feeling my manicure is complete ;)

Nail Q&A – Blogger Collaboration

some nails polish bloggers (with me amongs them) decided to do a Blogger Collaboration and here is our first post! we decided to start with some nail polish / nail art related questions to get to know each other better :) we're going to post once a month or so. and I have to tell you I'm very happy I'm participating! it's my first blogger collab and it seems like a lot of fun! so, here we go :)

What was your first nail polish?

I don't remember my very first nail polish, but I think it was some golden rose (I remember I have few red ones!) or inglot (it's our Polish brand) nail polish, because my first nail polishes was from these brands. actually I still have these few inglot polishes (blue, orange and steel shimmer/metallic ones) which have about... well 15 years or so? :D and the best thing is that they are still usable and their quality is the same as it was these 15 years ago.

Do you remember when your nail art journey begun?

I think it was about 10 years ago, when I was in high school. I did some nail arts then, but it was things like dots. I started to do more complicated things and more regurarly 7 years ago (back in 2013, when I started participated in some Polish nail art challenges) - you can see some of my nail arts from this time here (click click) and one of them is this one

What is your favourite nail art technique?

I think handpainting is my favourite, but I also like all kinds of fluid nail art techniques (including  using syringe :) )

What is your favourite nail shape?

square! I mean all that is similar to square - I think I have squoval (something combining sqare and oval). I have such shape for ages and I wouldn't change it for anything else!

Would you ever wear artificial nails?

no, I don't think I would. I don't like to have very long nails and artificial ones usually are long, do nope, It's not for me. I wore them once though! when I did my zombie nails for halloween some year ;)  - here's link to post with these nails and you can also see them below

What is your favourite mainstream brand?

I think orly is one of my top favourite brands and kiko as well (but their shops dissapeared from Poland some time ago - I don't know why - and I'm very sad about it). I also like colour alike a lot (it's a Polish brand, but they used to have much more great polishes, now only few of them are available to buy and that's a shame) and el corazon (russian brand), but my most favourite is masura (also russian one). they have many crazy finishes and interesting color combinations. and they have the best magnetic polishes! yes, detinitely masura is my favourite ;) though Celeste said masura is an indie brand - I actually don't know, but I'm sure it's definitely my favourite ;)

What is your favourite indie brand?

well, I don't think I have one favourite among indies. but due to their fantastic magnetic multichromes I'd say fun lacquer ;) 

What is your favourite nail polish finish?

I love everything that sparkles, so I like all kinds of particles in polishes, but I think I like multichrome polishes, magnetics and glassflecks the most. and well holographic ones, especially with large holo particles. and glitters! you see? I love all that glitters :D

What is your holy grail nail product?

sally hansen instant cuticle remover. I use it like since forever and it always helps me to keep my cuticles in order :)

What is your favourite top coat and base coat?

I curently use orly nail defense as a base coat and I think It's one of my favourites so far. I always use nail conditioners as a base. I also like sally hansen ones (blue - miracle cure and silver - diamond strength).

my favourite top coat of all times is hk girl from glisten & glow (it's an old name, now it's just glisten & glow top coat). I love it! It's thick and gives manicure a gel look :)

kolejnym lakierem orly z kolekcji deep wonder, który chcę Wam pokazać, jest drobinkowy beż o nazwie lucid dream. jak już wcześniej wspominałam, wiele osób określa ten lakier jako metaliczny, jednak moim zdaniem to glassfleck (czyli w bazie mamy większe nieregularne drobinki jakby fragmenty potłuczonego szkła, jednak nie jest to brokat, a całość po wyschnięciu tworzy gładką powierzchnię). lakiery metaliczne mają znacznie mniejsze drobiny (bardziej coś jak shimmer), tworzące zupełnie inny efekt - przypominające nieco metal i często są w nich widoczne pociągnięcia pędzelka. 

i tak jak mówię, dla mnie ten lakier to właśnie glassfleck. który niesamowicie migocze i wręcz skrzy! co do koloru, to niby jest to beż, ale ma też w sobie tony rosegold i jest naprawdę ładny :) świetny lakier, a do tego super kryje już przy jednej warstwie! (na zdjęciach standardowo zobaczycie dwie - w sumie to chyba po prostu kwestia przyzwyczajenia)

next orly polish from deep wonder collection, which I want to show you is beige with lots particles called lucid dream. like I mentioned before, many people says this is metallic polish, but in my opinion it's not :D I think it's glassfleck (which means in polish base there are many larger irregular shaped particles - something like pieces of broken glass, but it's not glitter and when polish dries, it has smooth surface). metallic polishes has much smaller particles (something like shimmer) and they create different effect on nails - polish looks on nails like some kind of metal and there are often visible brush strokes.

so in my opionion this polish is a 100% glassfleck. and it shimmers and twinkes like crazy! regarding its color, it's beige, but has a lot of rosegold undertones, so it's really pretty :) great polish, which has also really good opacity (it's fully opaque in just one coat, but I applied two - I think mostly due to habit ;) )

następnym lakierem od orly z kolekcji deep wonder, który chcę Wam pokazać jest cosmic crimson. to metaliczny czerwony lakier, który ma w sobie dużo miedzi i brązu, ale jednocześnie i trochę różowych tonów. no i przede wszystkim jest to jedyny - moim zdaniem - metalik w tej kolekcji. kiedyś takie lakiery były modne i pamiętam, że bardzo podobny zabierałam mamie jak byłam mała ;) i hm... w pewnym sensie to właśnie od tamtego lakieru zaczęła się moja lakierowa przygoda. więc do tego koloru mam chyba po prostu sentyment ;)

jeśli chodzi o kwestie techniczne, to lakier nakłada się wygodnie i ma bardzo dobre krycie. naprawdę już jedna warstwa wygląda świetnie (choć ja i tak zawsze nakładam dwie ;) ), tylko nieco widoczne są pociągnięcia pędzelka (ale nie jakoś bardzo). jednak wystarczy malować zdecydowanymi prostymi ruchami i nie nabierać zbyt dużo lakieru na pędzelek i wszystko będzie dobrze ;) 

mam zresztą też trochę wrażenie, że metaliczne lakiery z frostowym wykończeniem są obecne na rynku już od jakiegoś czasu i część osób przekonała się trochę do widocznych pociągnięć pędzelka na paznokciach (ja na pewno do nich należę :) ), więc cieszę się, że i w tej kolekcji orly znalazł się jakiś metalik :)

next polish from orly deep wonder collection I'd like to show you is cosmic crimson. it's metallic kind of red shade with a lot of brown and copper undertones (and some of pink too). and imo it's the only one metallic polish in this collection. polishes like this used to be very popular and I remember my mum has really similar polish and I used to paint my nails with it when I was little ;) and well, I think that was the moment when my polish adventure has begun, so I i feel some kind of sentiment for this polish ;)

application is nice and this polish has great coverage. you really need just one coat to have your nails fully covered with polish (but I always apply two coats). there is only this one thing: there are visible brush strokes (frost finish) - but not so much. and you just need to apply this polish with straight firm moves and not pick too many polish on brush and everything will be ok ;)

also I think that metallic polishes with frost finish are on market from some time, so some people liked or at least accepted visible brush strokes (I do!), so I'm really glad there is a metallic polish in this collection :)

dziś chcę Wam pokazać kolejny lakier z zimowej kolekcji orly deep wonder - nieco przygaszoną czerwień o nazwie wild wonder. jak już wspominałam w poście wprowadzającym, nie jestem wielką fanką czerwonych lakierów do paznokci, choć i tak je noszę. tzn może ujmę to inaczej, jest wiele kolorów, które wolę na paznokciach o wiele bardziej ;) ale na czerwień też mnie coś czasem nachodzi. więc o ile ten lakier najmniej przypadł mi do gustu z całej kolekcji, to i tak uważam, że jest świetny. tym bardziej, że technicznie jest bardzo podobny do fioletu mystic maven, który pokazywałam Wam ostatnio. czerwień wild wonder także nie ma takiego oczywistego ostrego odcienia, przez co nie jest to klasyczny czerwony lakier. a do tego świetnie kryje (już nawet przy jednej warstwie), ma ładny połysk i szybko wysycha. kolejny fajny lakier o nieoczywistym kolorze :)

today I'd like to show you next polish from winter orly collection deep wonder - a bit dimmed red called wild wonder. like I mentioned earlier, I'm not a big fan of red polish, but I'm wearing it from time to time. I mean, there are just many colors I like to have on my nails much more than red ;) but I like to have red nails sometimes. so maybe I like this shade the least from entire collection, but nonetheless I think this is really great polish. and it has all pros of the previous shade from this collection I've shown you lately ( purple mystic maven). wild wonder has not so obvious color  and it's not a regular red polish. and it has really good coverage. it's quite opaque even in one coat! and it has nice glossy finish and dries fast. it's next super polish with interesting shade :)
